According to latest statistics, the number of centenarians in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.

From 2004 and 2024, the figure of men aged 100 or over has tripled from 910 to 3,100. Over the same years, the count of female individuals reaching 100 nearly doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.

We are keen to listen to those aged 100 or over, their loved ones or companions, about what it has been like to bear witness to the past century’s seismic events and changes.
